4 Drinks To Keep In Rotation To Reduce Inflammation — Pt. 6
Bonjour from the South of France! No matter where I am, these are the wellness rituals that travel with me. They’re simple, travel-friendly, nourishing to the body, and help me feel my best without overcomplicating things. I am a mom of 2; I don’t have time for anything complicated:) I want to preface that while no single drink is a magic fix, these components are staples in my routine because they support hydration, provide antioxidant-rich plants, and fit easily into everyday life. C’est parti!
1. Broc Shot (Bought + Worth The Money)
Broc Shot delivers a concentrated source of sulforaphane, a naturally occurring compound from broccoli that's been widely studied for supporting the body's antioxidant and cellular defense systems. AMAZING for skin issues such as psoriasis. I have studied and researched, and they are the real deal. So much so, they were nice enough to give me a discount code. SHANI15.
How to take:
1 packet Broc Shot
2–3 oz cold water
Shake, shoot, and move on with your day.
2. Celery, Parsley + Mint Juice (Nama 2 Juicer)
This bright green juice is incredibly refreshing and an easy way to get a variety of phytonutrients first thing in the morning. Packed with antioxidants, provides excellent hydration and gut healing properties.
How to make:
4 celery stalks
1 cup parsley
½ cup fresh mint
½ lemon, peeled
½ cucumber (optional)
½–1 cup cold water
Directions:
Load everything into the hopper (that’s the beauty of this machine, it’s so thorough)
Let it slow-press completely.
Stir and drink fresh. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days max for optimal freshness.
3. Mushroom Cacao Latte (Ryze)
When I want something warm and cozy, this is my afternoon ritual. I love using a functional mushroom cacao blend from RYZE, a superfood supplement for energy, focus and gut health. All purchased with my own money, nothing sponsored.
Recipe:
1 tbsp mushroom cacao mix
8–10 oz unsweetened almond milk
½ tsp cinnamon
Pinch of sea salt
Optional: 1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup
Warm the milk, whisk everything together, and enjoy.
4. Wild Mint Tea
My mother in law have wild mint tea in her garden in Bordeaux, France — how lucky am I! It's a herb traditionally used to aid diarrhea and menstrual cramps. It can also be used as a DIY face toner for its astringent properties.
How to make:
8 oz hot water
fresh wild mint from garden or you can grab them from here
Steep for 5–7 minutes.
Optional: add fresh lemon or a drizzle of honey.
