The Saga Continues. We're leveling up our total body health one drink at a time. Allez, c'est parti !
Hello Friends, back again with PT. 3 of the drinks I consume to reduce inflammation, not just for skin health but total body health. Allez, c'est parti !
Part 1 for reference:)
1. Dandelion + Cleavers Tea
Lymphatic drainage tea on crack
Dandelion and cleavers tea is a potent, springtime herbal blend primarily used for detoxification, lymphatic drainage, and supporting liver/kidney function. This diuretic, antioxidant-rich tea reduces water retention, clears skin, and helps flush waste, making it a popular, mild-tasting "spring cleaning" tonic for the body.
How to make:
1 tsp dried dandelion leaves/roots and 1 tsp dried cleavers (or a handful of fresh), with optional peppermint or nettle.
Pour 250mL of hot water over the herbs. Cover and let it steep for 10-15 minutes, then strain
Enjoy
2. Red Raspberry Leaf Tea
Red raspberry leaf tea is a nutrient-rich herbal tea commonly used to support women’s health, particularly for toning the uterus during pregnancy, potentially shortening labor, and relieving menstrual cramps. It is packed with iron, magnesium, and antioxidants, offering benefits for digestion, immune support, and skin health.
How to make:
steep 1 tablespoon of dried leaves in 8 oz of boiling water for 10–15 minutes, covered.
It can be enjoyed hot or iced, with honey or lemon added for flavor. For a stronger, nutrient-dense brew, steep for 20-30 minutes or overnight.
3. Bone Broth
Tummy on flat, collagen on BOOST!
Bone broth offers several potential health benefits for women, including improved skin elasticity, joint support, and gut health due to its high collagen and amino acid content. It is a nutrient-dense, low-calorie food (about 10g of protein per serving) that may aid in weight management and reduce inflammation.
Ingredients
Bones: 3-4 lbs beef bones (marrow, knuckles, oxtail) or 1 whole chicken carcass/bony parts.
Liquid: Water (enough to cover the bones).
Acid: 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar (essential for nutrient extraction).
Aromatics/Veg: 2 onions (quartered), 2-4 carrots (halved), 2-4 celery stalks, 1 head garlic (halved), 1 tbsp peppercorns, 2 bay leaves.
Instructions
Roast the Bones: Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Roast bones on a baking sheet for 25-30 minutes until browned to enhance flavor.
Blanch (Optional): Blanch bones in boiling water for 15-20 minutes, then drain and rinse to remove impurities.
Combine: Place roasted bones and vegetables into a large stockpot or slow cooker. Pour in water and add apple cider vinegar.
Simmer: Bring to a low boil, then immediately reduce heat to the lowest setting. Cover and simmer for 12-24 hours. Skim off any foam from the surface periodically.
Strain and Cool: Strain the broth through a fine-mesh sieve and discard solids. Let it cool, then refrigerate. A layer of fat will form on top; you can remove this before using. Why it works:
Aloe helps soothe the gut lining, support hydration, and reduce internal heat—key factors in lowering inflammation, especially when it shows up as bloating or skin flare-ups.
Low on time and energy? You can buy high quality bone broth from Brodo
4. Alkalizing Greens
Detox and boost immunity
Truth be told, I buy these and I've tested every brand under the sun. My ultimate fave right now is Sarah Wragge Alkalizing Greens. The taste is bearable and I feel amazing when I drink these greens on a consistent basis. Not sponsored, purchase with my own money and recommend.
Why it works:
Greens in the morning lay the groundwork for better digestion all day. Our bodies become more acidic overnight, and the daily toxins in modern life only fan the flames of bloat and inflammation. Alkalize (which means to reduce acidity) uses just eight ingredients to target these toxins and reset your gut — without breaking your fat-burning fast. All greens in Alkalize are among the most potent in antioxidants, the things your body needs to protect cells from toxins.
