4 Drinks To Keep In Rotation To Reduce Inflammation — Pt.3

1. Warm Ginger Water

Ginger helps stimulate digestive juices and enzymes, which means:

  • Less bloating

  • Smoother digestion

  • Relief from nausea (even motion sickness or morning nausea)

It’s essentially a gentle internal wake-up call for your gut. One of my favs.

How to make:

  • I personally juice ginger as you would when making ginger shots and add that to warm water. Simple and really helps avoid brewing ginger everyday.

2. Warm Beet Water

Blood flow and oxygen delivery

Beets are rich in natural nitrates, which convert into nitric oxide in the body. That helps:

  • Improve circulation

  • Deliver more oxygen to tissues

  • Support heart health

  • Increases iron levels

Basically means, better flow = better skin tone, more even complexion, less dullness, more glow.

How to make:

  • I LOVE a beet powder because it’s simple, easy to just add to warm water and I can go on my merry way. I get my beet powder from my local herb shop. However, this one is also good. If you are a DIYér which i'm here for. Here's a simple step by step with fresh beets.

  • Prep: Wash, scrub, and slice 2-3 medium beets (peeling is optional).

  • Boil: Place beets in a pot with 3-4 cups of water. Bring to a boil.

  • Simmer: Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30–45 minutes until the water is deeply colored and the beets are fork-tender.

  • Strain & Serve: Strain the liquid into a mug. Drink it warm.

3. Rosebud + Peppermint Tea

Rosebud and peppermint tea is a soothing, caffeine-free herbal blend that aids digestion, reduces bloating, and offers high antioxidant support for skin health. The combination relieves stress, eases muscle tension, improves breath, and may help manage hormonal acne, acting as a calming "inner beauty" drink.

Ritual

  • Preparation: Combine 1–2 teaspoons of dried rosebuds with 1 teaspoon of dried peppermint leaves (or one tea bag) in hot water.

  • Steep Time: Steep for 5–10 minutes for optimal flavor and nutrient release.

  • Additions: Pair with honey or lemon for added taste, though it is flavorful on its own.

4. Coconut Water

Coconut water is a nutrient-rich, low-calorie, and low-sugar alternative to sports drinks that provides excellent hydration, essential electrolytes (especially potassium), and potential heart-health benefits. It acts as a natural source of antioxidants and may help manage blood pressure and blood sugar levels.

Why it's elite:
Superior Hydration & Electrolytes: Composed of 95-96% water, it is high in potassium—providing about 15% of the daily value (DV) per cup—along with magnesium, calcium, and phosphorus, making it ideal for replenishing fluids lost through sweat or illness.

  • Heart Health & Blood Pressure: Studies indicate it may help lower systolic blood pressure due to its high potassium content, which helps remove excess sodium from the body.

  • Blood Sugar Management: Research on animals suggests it can improve blood sugar control and reduce hemoglobin A1c levels, with magnesium enhancing insulin sensitivity, making it a potential option for diabetics or prediabetics.

  • Kidney Stone Prevention: Adequate fluid intake from coconut water aids in preventing kidney stones by reducing the risk of crystallization.

  • Digestive Health: It can help soothe digestive issues, act as an anti-inflammatory, and assist with mild acid reflux symptoms
